First - raw spectra of V1405Cas
Nova V1405Cas has been discovered on March 18h, 2021 located close to the open clulster M52 and the "Bubble nebula" NGC 7635.
Driven by various issues, we have been not able to take spectra ealier. This night (Juni 11th, 2021) we got the opportunity to collect some spectra with a LHiRes III spectrograf operated in low resolution modus.
Fig1: Raw Spectra of V1405Cas
This is a pure Raw spectra, just dark correction performed. Still a lot of lines visible in emissions. In this particular spectra H-Alpha (@ Pixel about 647) and H-Beta(@ pixel 260) are saturated from ADU perspective, because we like to focus on the "smaller" less bright features in the spectra. Around pixel 490, we can see a small P Cyg profile of some He emission. Spectral resolution is about R 0 400. Normalization and wavelength calibration to be performed next.
... more to come.
